This small municipality has a unique beauty. On several occasions it has been awarded different prizes for its cleanliness and cared-for environment. Arafo’s volcano and the canyon of Añavingo (Barranco de Añavingo), that exhibits a wealth of Canary flora. The inhabitancy of this small town might stop and look at you, but this is because you will be the only tourists staying there. Things to do: Guimar Piramids, Town Festival in August, Santa Cruz auditorium, Santa Cruz Carnival. Just look up at the sensational view of the stars, landscape and sea, Santa Cruz capital city 20 drive and walks through the volcanic and pine area, are absolutely breathtaking! The roof of La Casita is a particular favourite for sunworshippers, affording spectacular views of Pico Cho Marcial mountain peak.
The nickname of the Canaries comes from it's climatic conditions. Spring temperatures dominate throughout the year. The average lies between 20-22ºC. During the cooler days the thermometer doesn't fall under 15ºC and rarely gets higher than 30ºC on the hotter days. This Tenerife holiday villa is a rural property situated on the south coast of Tenerife in the village of Arafo and has been in the same family for generations, since it was built in the 1800's. Arafo is located in the south east of Tenerife, about half an hour from each of the airports and the capital, Santa Cruz. The decor of this holiday villa in Tenerife is an eclectic mix of styles that span over the decades throughout which the house has existed. The traditional Canarian architecture remains intact, with thick walls of mud and stone, and high ceilings, providing a cool refuge from the summer sun and insulation in the cooler winter. The villa has 3 bedrooms all on the first floor. 1 double and 2 twin which are adjoined by a lockable door. Furthermore, the Tenerife villa offers 3 bathrooms, a large kitchen and living room, complete with television, DVD and Hi-Fi.

We offer horse riding sessions or "Hacks" for riders of all levels, which are supervised by our experienced and knowledgeable staff. This is a fantastic opportunity to get off the beaten track and see a side of Tenerife that is seen by few tourists. As we make our way through the Caldera del Rey to the mountains, you will see a real working farm and banana plantation that has changed little over the years. Here the workers are tending to the growth of tomatoes, avocados, oranges, palms of various species and, of course, bananas. At the edge of the farm we choose a track leading up into he mountains and into the peace and tranquility of real Tenerife countryside. Here you can see a variety of wild cacti and flowers and as the altitude rises, spectacular views all the way to the sea.
