You can go fishing in the Seille River. 15 minutes away you will find the famous Jura vineyards (Arbois) and the medieval village of Chateau-Chalon with an observation tower, fruit orchards and an abbey. Other attractions include: the caves and waterfalls of Cascades-du-Hérisson, and the castle of Saint-Pierre-en-Bresse with the most beautiful museum of Bresse Bourguignonne. This Gite is located 25 minutes from the Lons-le-Saunier resort with its wonderful subtropical swimming pool and beautiful city. The lakes of Jura, such as Lac de Clairvaux and Chalan-les-Lac, are less than one hour away by car. 15 km away there is the city of Louhans with a market on Monday mornings which has more than 150 vendors. Here you can still find genuine regional products, such as the famous Bresser chickens (with blue feet).
