Piemond is a wonderful rich and green region. The hills are full of vineyards and the villages still wonderfully unspoiled. It is an area where you can visit a lot of things but often you enjoy being at home or on the terrace enjoying the view and eachother

Description:
The house is large and includes a fully equiped kitchen. It is located not far from Canelli, Alba, Aqui Terme and this is still a very unspoiled area. Menu's are still in Italian. It has a ping pong table and a wonderful pool. A perfect place to spend time with friends or family.
Notes on price:
If you wish to have a baby cot, playpen and high chair this can be supplied at 25 euro for the duration of your stay.

Kitchen:
Extremely large kitchen (16,5 meters) very well equiped. It has 2 ovens, 2 fridges, 2 freezers, 5 gas hob, 1 microwave, 1 dishwasher and fully equiped with all necessary kitchen items. The dining area is in the kitchen which seats 12 people at least
Living Rooms:
Large sitting room with fireplace, 3 sofa's and 2 large chairs. The TV, video, DVD, satelite are located. In the cupboard there are films and video's to watch, however, these must be returned to the cupboard. The sofa bed is located in the hallway next to the downstairs bedroom
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid Service:
The linen and towels are included in the rental and linen is changed on saturdays. Should you require extra cleaning a cleaning lady can be arranged for you, cost 10 euro per hour which you require to pay when she has finished cleaning. The end of cleaning of the house and laundry should be approx. 120 euro after a week, of course this depends on the state the house is left behind.
Utility room:
in the garage there is a washingmachine, ping pong table and shower and toilet

10 persons (12 max sofa bed)
Notes on accommodation: The house is suitbable for childeren and it is possible to rent a cot, high chair for the duration of your stay at an extra cost of 25 euro. The house tends to keep cool as they are very thick walls so no air-conditioning. Each room has 1 window with mosquito netting.

Travel
Closest airport is Genua, 1.15 hour drive. It is a must to have a car in this area especially as the house is located on a hill. The other 2 airports are either Turin or Milan (Malpensa or Linate), they are about 1.30/45 min drive from the house.
Distances
The village of Castiglione Tinella is a 2 min drive, on the photo you will see the view and that is the village, it has cashpoints, pharmacy, bar, local supermarket, hairdresser. Santa Stefano is 6km and a larger place, shops, bars, supermarket etc. A small town about 10 min drive is Canelli, large shopping centre as well as a Lidl supermarket. Alba is about 25 min drive and so is Aqui Terme (hot springs)
Further details
There are a lot of local restaurants around, in Castiglione Tinella there is a wonderful (not expensive) little restaurant next to the smaller church and in Valdiville (next village) there is a restaurant that also does take away pizza's. Each village has a place where you can eat, they are not always open but worth discovering

Changeover day
Saturday, departures at 10am and arrivals at 16.00 as we require the in between time to clean the house
Golf
There are a lot of golf courses dotted around and as you are located on top of a hill it will take about 40 min to drive to the oldest, very large golf course. The local people of Santa Stefano Belbo also play golf and have assured me there are some great courses.
Beach
It is a good hour to drive to the beach in Liguria area. The nearest beaches are near Genua.
Ski
All the skiing is near Turin and we are located an hours drive from Turin so it is possible to go and ski for a day and come back at the end of the day.
Wine Tasting
The area is full of "cantina's" and places to discover the various wines. We are not far from Barolo, Barbaresco, Alba, Asti so all the great wines are within a short drive.
Accessibility
As there is a downstairs bedroom and showerroom the house is good for elderly or can be used for people with walking difficulties. There is 1 step from your bedroom to get into the kitchen and 1 step to get onto the terrace. Also from the kitchen it is 1 step to get into the sittingroom
Outside
There are tables outside with 10 chairs and a parasol. There are 8 very comfortable beds by the swimmingpool as well as a plactic table and chairs by the pool. In the garage there is a ping pong table which can be used. The swimmingpool is 12 meters by 5 meters and is private.
